Down the drive shrouded in trees
The old and familiar scent of conkers and leaves
They fall every year but the colours still get me every time

All curled up and cosy, on her favourite settee
I give her a cuddle and drink my cup of tea as I rest

Sunday morning, loudly awake
Fast up the stairs, as much noise he can make
We'll play hide and seek til our bodies start to ache

Candles lit as it darkens so soon
With cake on the table and an old Irish tune
